Stirrup (Hoop Reinforcement)

Introduction:

Stirrups, also known as hoop reinforcement, closed ties, or closed hoops, are steel bars bent into square, rectangular, circular, or trapezoidal shapes and used to confine the longitudinal bars in concrete beams, columns, and shear walls. They play a key role in resisting shear forces, preventing buckling, and enhancing the ductility of structural members under load. Yoshine produces stirrups from HRB400, HRB500, or HPB300-grade steel, following precise bending processes to meet the requirements of GB1499.2, BS4449, and ASTM A615 standards. They are used in both cast-in-place and precast concrete components across all types of building and infrastructure projects.
